School Accountability Report Card
What Is a School Accountability Report Card? Since November 1988, state law has required all public schools to prepare and distribute annually a School Accountability Report Card (SARC). The purpose of the report card is to provide parents and the community with important information about the performance and condition of each California public school. The SARC can also be an effective way for a school to report the progress it has made toward achieving its goals. In addition, the public may use the SARC to evaluate and compare schools throughout the state on a variety of indicators.
The 2021-2022 SARC Letter will provide the most recent SARC information and links.
FAST STUDENT SCORE REPORT: TO BE SENT HOME NOVEMBER 27TH
SDUSD we will send FAST student score reports to parents in late November to allow teachers the opportunity to discuss FAST results with parents during parent-teacher conference times. Jerabek Parent Teacher Conferences will begin November 27th.
FAST student score reports (SSRs) will be sent to parents of K-12 students via Digital Document Delivery on Monday, November 27th.
Leader in Me: Habit 3
Our next Leader in Me focus is Habit 3: Put First Things First. Our next awards assembly on December 7th will recognize students who put first things first!
People who put first things first focus on the important, not just the urgent, act on priorities, plan weekly, and act daily. You are putting first things first when you organize your time around the most important things and eliminate the unimportant.
Kid Language
Work First, Then Play: I spend my time on things that are most important. This means I say no to things I know I should not do. I set priorities, make a schedule, and follow my plan. I am disciplined and organized.
Ways to practice Put First Things First:
- Talk with your family about your most important jobs or responsibilities, such as doing homework, making the bed, or taking out the garbage.
- Do your chores before being asked.
- Do the hardest part of your homework first.
- Think of something you’ve been putting off for a long time, like cleaning up your room or pumping up the flat tire on your bike. Go do it right now!
Counseling and Guidance Resources
The SDUSD Counseling Department has shared a few resources and tools to assist students and families with managing their emotions, feelings, and stress. This first resource is the SDUSD Virtual Calming Room.
The next is the Community Mental Health Resource Guide for the Scripps Ranch community. Click here to access the guide.
Family Faculty Organization of Jerabek Elementary School
The Family Faculty Organization of Jerabek Elementary School, or FFO, is an organization similar to a PTA, made up of parents, community members, and staff who work together to provide students with added enrichment to their existing curriculum. Everyone who has a child at Jerabek is automatically a member of the FFO.
